The lobby of this prominent Denver landmark was dated and unappealing, and occupancy rates were anemic. Within the constraints of a conservative budget and a tight schedule, BAW Architecture executed an exceptional upgrade that resulted in soaring occupancy rates, and outstanding return on investment for the building’s owners.
This is the tallest building in the Denver Tech Center, Colorado’s innovation hub; it is visible from nearly anywhere in the Denver metro area. The granite and glass composition featured classical lines, but the lobby’s materials and furnishings were dated and worn.
Tenants get unhappy when their lobby is turned into a construction zone. Executing the upgrade in as short a time as possible was of paramount concern to the BAW team.
The vision was to change the way people experience the building, from walking through the front door, and on toward the elevator. Starting with the existing palette, BAW altered the proportions and upgraded the materials within the confines of a limited budget.

“[I saw] the preliminary renderings of the Plaza Tower One project today and I was blown away. The look absolutely fantastic! Our tenants will get a great feel for what it is going to look like once it is complete. Well done and thanks for all the effort.
The stunning end result was so organically integrated into the whole that it appeared to have always been there.
